OOTD: Feeling Festive

Today I bring you an aptly Christmassy OOTD that I sported this weekend just gone. My boyfriend and I headed to the V&A, Harrods and got our Christmas tree all in one festive-filled day, and I went for a snugly, fun outfit that I thought I’d share with you. I started out with my George at Asda dogtooth dress which is made of the ever-popular ‘scuba’ material that’s everywhere right now, which means it’s super warm in these colder months. I opted for this dogtooth print as we were off to see the Hollywood costume exhibition and it reminded me of the old movie stars in their Salvatore Ferragamo, who coincidentally brought this print back in a big way when Lady Gaga was photographed in it head to toe! (I have a whole post on Gaga’s dogtooth moment here).

My coat is vintage and was gifted to me, and my scarf was a bargainous Primark find last winter. Anything mustard is an instant win in my book and I love how it looks when teamed with red as well. The red accessories are my River Island handbag and my red Timeless boots, of which there are a similar pair available at Deichmann here. My necklace was also from River Island a few years ago and I absolutely love statement pieces like this as they rarely go out of style, this one is perfect for the military trend year on year. Finally on my lips I have one of my all-time favourite lipsticks which is Rimmel’s Colour Show Off Lipstick in Tell No One, it’s a fabulous matte coral that’s great in summer and winter and taps into that Hollywood vibe that I was going for, especially with the side-swept hair!

As usual here are a few Instagram shots from our day out and about in the city that made me feel extra Christmassy! You can follow me on Instagram @camilladelacoe. Also, if you’d like to check out more information on the Disney Princesses at Harrods or the Hollywood costume exhibition, I featured them in a recent post here and here respectively. Enjoy! 1. The gorgeous V&A ceiling 2. Marchesa’s interpretation of Disney’s Ariel in the Harrods window 3. The V&A exterior 4. One of my favourite tree ornaments, my Harajuku Lovers ‘Jingle G’ ornament that came with last year’s limited edition fragrance.

  1. Really really love the outfit with the mustard scarf and red boots. So cute and eye-catching. If I owned that, I’d wear it every day, LOL.
