She Hearts Sunday #6

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope you’re all warm and toasty inside today. The sun may be shining in the UK but it definitely feels more like winter, my chunky knits are officially out in force and hot tea is the order of the day. As usual today I bring you my latest favourites from the world of fashion and beyond, so sit tight as there’s plenty to get through!

She Hearts…Hollywood Costumes at the V&A

I can’t even tell you how excited I am about this exhibition. As you may well know, I like to think of myself as quite the film fan, so this exhibition at the V&A is right up my street. It begins on the 20th which is this Saturday and there’s set to be a plethora of fantastic costumes on display for the world to see. Over 100 costumes will make up the exhibition which plays host to some iconic pieces such as Judy Garland’s Dorothy outfit from The Wizard Of Oz and Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones ensemble. What more convincing do you need?

She Hearts…High Street Sales

The end of season sales are in full swing and there are some great pieces to be found on the high street. This week I’ve found some fabulous pieces in River Island and Primark that’ll save you more than a few pennies, so keep on the lookout! I picked up two gorgeous dresses from River Island for £15 each and some amazing glitter boots from Primark for just £12 reduced from £18. You can’t go wrong.

She Hearts…Geek Chic Charity Badges

On recently visiting Odeon in Covent Garden, I noticed they had some Star Wars charity badges available and was instantly drawn to them. These super cute heart pins have C-3PO and R2-D2 inside them and are utterly adorable and irresistible to a geek like me. Being as they’re quite cutesy and geeky, I love these for adding interest to winter coats, and the profit goes to charity of course which is the best reason ever to get your hands on one. Variety is a great children’s charity that teams up with a different film franchise every year to make profitable badges that will help with their fundraising, and this is by far my favourite, get involved and add some geek chic to your wardrobe, for charity!

She Hearts…Forever 21 Ankle Boots

It feels like I have been searching forever for the perfect black ankle boots, and I’m happy to say that this weekend I found them. After trawling Oxford Street to no avail, Forever 21 was our final stop of the day, and the high street store that finally came through for me. On walking in I spotted these gorgeous boots that above all, looked comfortable enough to walk around all day in (my top priority) and they haven’t let me down. Originally £23.75, on reaching the till these were actually reduced to a ridiculously cheap £12.99 which to me is the bargain of the century. I can’t rave about these enough as I wore them throughout the entire Harry Potter studios tour this weekend without a hitch and they go with everything! Snap them up while you can.

She Hearts…To Rome With Love

Woody Allen’s latest film is an absolute cinematic gem, and I haven’t seen a film that has made me laugh quite so hard in a long time. If you loved Midnight In Paris and want an easy, funny, enjoyable night at the cinema, I highly recommend checking this out! With a great cast, top one-liners and multiple stories to follow this’ll keep you entertained no end.

She Hearts…The Harry Potter Studios Tour

The best part of my week by far was visiting the Harry Potter studios tour in Leavesden, which completely made my Harry Potter loving life complete. My friend and I are huge fans and spent the day at the tour which exceeded my expectations and which for £28 was an extremely good value day out. For Potter fanatics it is an absolute once-in-a-lifetime experience and there’ll be a full post up on my bog about it soon.

That’s it for this week’s She Hearts Sunday. Check back next week for more favourites, suggestions and more. Until next time…
