Get the Salvatore Ferragamo look for £7!

Lady Gaga has never been someone I’ve looked to for style inspiration. I doubt that many people look at an ensemble of Gaga’s and say ‘I’m going to recreate that’. So last year when Gaga stepped out in a great Salvatore Ferragamo dogtooth dress and I thought ‘I need that dress’, I was quite shocked. Dogtooth is one of my all time favourite prints, up there with leopard and cheetah of course and so I couldn’t quite help myself. Needless to say I went a little dogtooth crazy after this image surfaced.

Shortly after this, I made the move here to London, and one of the first places I went was Westfield White City where they have a huge designer shopping area called The Village. Of course there was THE dress, the Gaga dress in all its glory in the window of Ferragamo and since then I have searched high and low for a dogtooth dress with which I can accessorize copious amounts of pearls to ‘get Gaga’s look’ (minus the hat and tights). It just so happens that last week my Mum, a bargain hunter of the highest calibre, posted me a surprise package and said only ‘think Salvatore’. I knew exactly what I was going to find inside the parcel, and here it is.

This dress is currently in the George at Asda sale and is a remarkable £7! You can get it online, and it’s an even more wearable piece than Gaga’s. This ’60s style ponte dress is great for all figures, nipping it in with a skinny belt will make it super flattering! This dogtooth dress is a perfect transitional piece for this season and I have it on good authority that the ’60s trend isn’t going anywhere. Make sure you grab yours while you still can, it’ll make a great print addition to any wardrobe and is great for layering over tights or leggings with heels, flats or boots, it’s super adaptable and way more wearable than the original one I coveted so much.

What do you think? Have you spotted any bargain pieces lately? Leave me a comment or tweet me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
