Designer Double: The Alexander Wang Style Sunnies

Summer is hopefully, well and truly on its way, and that can only mean one thing. It’s time to shop sunglasses. Today I bring you a gorgeous pair that look designer, but will definitely leave you with spare change for your holiday, at under £5! Up there with some of my favourite styles of sunnies, are those of Alexander Wang. A few years ago I found the perfect pair of winged sunnies, a la Wang, but today’s more contemporary pair are bang on-trend for this season.

These gorgeous perspex glasses are a classic shape, but the transparent edges and darker lenses create a great moody look that I adore. These Alexander Wangs go with everything and give every outfit a bit of edge, but aren’t so easy to get your hands on, and might set you back more than you want to pay.

Enter the Forever 21 option. I picked these up myself in store on Oxford Street a couple of weeks back, and absolutely love them. At £4.90 these are a steal and more than a little bit similar to the Wangs. The contrast between the darker lenses and the transparent frames is much more exaggerated on this pair, but I actually prefer that. If you’re not the biggest girly girl and still want to retain some of that grungy, moody look throughout the summer season, then these will be your perfect partner. You can pick them for £4.90 on the Forever 21 site here.

That’s it for today’s post, I hope it’ll help you get your holiday wardrobe sorted while keeping your bank balance healthy. Let me know what you think of today’s designer double by leaving me a comment below or tweeting me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
