So yesterday I was lucky enough to catch the STRARTA Art Fair in its last day at the Saatchi Gallery here in London. I had always meant to get around to visiting the gallery, but after hearing that amongst the STRARTA fair were decorated storm trooper helmets, I had to make this my time to go! My boyfriend and I headed there yesterday, and I thought it was the perfect space to shoot an OOTD too! If you’d like to see the outfit (kind of) in 3D and more of the exhibition, be sure to check out my OOTD + Vlog video this weekend for more!
As promised in the haul video I first featured it in (here), I decided to showcase my Topshop sale bargain parka in this OOTD. It was chucking it down here in London when we headed out to the STRARTA art fair, so this was a total necessity (and lifesaver). I teamed it with my H&M black jumper which you can pick up here, and which I also featured in my recent collective haul here. To up the Gwen Stefani vibe, cause you know how much I love her, I went for these checkered Primark shorts that featured in last week’s video, which was my Primark haul (here). I always link the videos that I’ve featured these pieces in so you can also go there and have a good look at them too before investing!
No rainy day would be complete without my patent Docs that I bought via Office, these are the Clemency that have a slight heel, and I love them! Bag-wise I opted for this Primark bucket bag (which I hauled here) because it fits my DSLR bag and all the daily essentials too. Finally to accessorise I went for this simple H&M chain (hauled here) just to give the outfit something else.
On to the exhibition, there was everything from paintings, to prints, to sculpture, but the installations were some of my favourite pieces, and of course the storm trooper room, which deserved a visit in itself. Each room housed a different exhibitor and within that, individual artists’ work which as I mentioned, was so diverse, there was definitely something for everyone. I loved catching a glimpse of more of Chris Bracey’s work, you may remember me featuring his work a while back when I wrote about the God’s Own Junkyard exhibition we saw in Soho (you can read more about that here). Without waffling on, here are some of my very favourite pieces, and as I mentioned, you can catch a whole vlog of the event this weekend on my Youtube channel.
That’s it for today’s OOTD and exhibition post! Let me know what you thought of this look and the pieces photographed in the exhibition, I’d love to know! Leave me a commebt below and/or tweet me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
