She Hearts Sunday #33

Hello and welcome to today’s She Hearts post! I hope you’re all having fantastic bank holiday weekends, whether you’re keeping busy or using the three day weekend for a much-needed rest. Today I bring you four hearts, two of which are exciting events you might want to watch out for over the next week, so without further ado, let’s get right into it.

She Hearts…Harrods’ Gatsby Pop Up Bar

From this Friday, Harrods’ Tasting Room and Wine Shop will be transformed into an incredible 1920s haven. In celebration of the impending release of The Great Gatsby (in cinemas Friday 17th), this month-long affair at Harrods will see bespoke cocktails being sold, as well as cocktail making classes and even a one-off evening of ‘jazz and liquor’ on May 10th. While I can’t wait for the film itself, the hype surrounding it really is buzzing, what with the soundtrack being played left, right and centre and a host of celebratory events taking place. Harrods is going to be THE place for Gatsby fans this month, so if you’re all about flapper dresses and F. Scott Fitzgerald get yourself down there ASAP.

She Hearts…The MET Ball

Aaahh the MET ball, few red carpet events are as important on the fashion calendar, and all the celebs and who’s who of fashion turn out in their best for NYC. Year after year, it produces some of my favourite red carpet moments, and there’s never a gown too big or too flouncy for this night. As usual I’m hoping to watch the live stream, to see everyone heading into the MET as it happens. This year more than ever I wish I was going; Punk: Chaos to Couture is this year’s exhibition and it couldn’t be more up my street. How many Westwood gowns do you think we’ll see in ode?

She Hearts…The 291 Venice Summer Lookbook

The sun is officially out here in London, and I am constantly seeking out great skate-inspired summer looks at the moment. The lookbook from the latest collection at 291 Venice is so bang-on and epitomises my summer ideals right now. I came across this great lookbook via Yenny of Studded Hearts, which if you don’t already read it, is an amazing, visually-stunning blog that never fails to inspire me. You can see this entire lookbook there, by clicking here.

She Hearts…Lulu Trixabelle

On recently scrolling through Company’s Blogging Award shortlist to find some great new blogs to read, I came across a brilliant one. Not only do I love Lucy Rance’s awesome Lulu Trixabelle blog, but her Youtube channel is a must-watch, with bargainous finds a-plenty and a great array of car boot sale hauls. Lucy or Lulu’s eclectic style is a breath of fresh air, and I love her quirky take on different on-trend outfits. If you need outfit inspiration, or you want to see some serious style from someone who hasn’t spent a gajillion pounds on an outfit, this is the channel to watch.

That’s it for this week’s She Hearts Sunday. Let me know what you think of today’s picks, and what you’ve been loving this week by leaving me a comment below or tweeting me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
