So as you may know from my previous OOTD, last weekend my lovely sister came to stay with me and amongst the things on our ‘must-do’ list was to go for a cupcake-filled afternoon tea. Being a Carnaby-a-holic I decided to take my sister to the C’est Ici Brasserie in Kingly Court just off Carnaby Street which is right in the centre of the cutesy shopping area. If you live in London, or are planning a trip I highly recommend stopping for a coffee there at least as it is a lovely place to relax, take in the atmosphere and of course people watch! We sat outside as it was a gorgeous day and they have outdoor heaters for nippier days and of course the abundance of fairy lights in the court makes it quite magical.
As we had been to Portobello Road the day before I picked up a cute summery dress and decided it would be the perfect thing to wear for an afternoon of cupcakes and macaroons, and of course copious amounts of tea.
The coral colour of this dress is what drew me in, it’s so bright and summery, but then I spotted the vintage inspired, super cute deer and polka dot pattern and had to have it. As I said I picked it up really cheap at Portobello Market and I know I’m going to get tonnes of wear out of it this season. Being as it’s not that warm yet I wore my favourite shirt underneath the dress, grey tights, cream flats and and my everyday bag which are all from Primark. My watch which I always wear is ASOS and was a gift from my boyfriend and the sunglasses were from Claire’s Accessories last year.
Seeing as we were celebrating my sister’s visit, we decided to go all out and order some macaroons as well as cupcakes so my sister could give them a try. We opted for coffee, chocolate and lemon and I went for a lemon cupcake while my sis had a classic red velvet. Perfect. The cakes were seriously good and you can never have too much edible glitter, the tea was flowing and the macaroons didn’t let us down so all in all it was a very successful afternoon, I’d highly recommend C’Est Ici for a girly treat!
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and today’s OOTD, don’t forget to let me know what you think about today’s ensemble by leaving a comment or tweeting me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
