So as today’s title suggests- Autumn is upon us, and I couldn’t be happier about it! Finally I can embrace the chunky knits, boots, opaque tights and cosy nights in that summer doesn’t allow. This time of year is my absolute favourite for so many reasons- not least because the outfit options seem endless, it’s the time to layer after all! This week I bring you this autumnal outfit post in collaboration with M&M Direct, who set me a style challenge, to see how much I could save by shopping smart on their site. If you haven’t shopped on M&M Direct before- where have you been? I’ve been a fan for many years- ever since my super savvy Mother introduced me to their wares, and incredible savings, so jumped at the chance to work some of their pieces into my outfit.

I started out with this amazing chunky, fluffy cardigan, (which I also featured in my latest haul here), as it’s not only the perfect addition to a casual outfit- it also won’t break the bank. So many high street stores amp up the price of their chunky outerwear pieces as soon as it gets a little brisk, but at £16.99 opposed to the RRP of £34.99, this one is your saviour. I know I’ll be wearing this to death this winter over cute dresses and boots, and jeans and tees alike. My second and equally savvy M&M Direct find was this pair of real leather boots, which at £44.99 opposed to £99.99 are an absolute steal. Incorporating both brown and black means these killer boots will quite literally go with everything possible under the sun, and help blend neutral colours seamlessly together.

To finish off the outfit, I thought I’d go laidback with my River Island sale dress that I picked up several years back. I always come back to this dress with its denim top and vintage skirt-esque bottom half, it’s so easy to pair. I also topped off the outfit with my spiked hat, which I bought via Depop around a year ago, and a ram skull necklace that I also found on Depop, but that I believe is originally from Topshop!
