Now, there is absolutely no need for an introduction when it comes to Amazon. The world knows about its reputation for book selling, DVD selling, more-often-than-not free delivery and amazing deals. But is it somewhere you’d think to clothes shop? Let me introduce you to The Dress Edit. Self explanatory really, but nonetheless an incredible place to trawl through tonnes of brands in one place, to find THE perfect dress. Amazon very kindly invited me to their launch of the collection, to see the pieces close up, and even take home my own special dress! It’s especially crucial to find THE dress right now for all of you off to prom, or who may be having similar balls and dinner-dances before leaving school, or even university. Let’s not forget about the all-important graduation outfit! Here’s just a sneaky peek of what The Dress Edit has to offer.
Amazon brought along the very finest specimens for us to browse, gorgeous pieces from French Connection, Sinequanone (where my dress is from), American Retro, and Lipsy to name a few. They’re all from well-known, reputable brands that are worth investing in, and there’s such a great range of prices and styles that there’s definitely something for everyone. I loved so many of the dresses they had on display, and even while browsing online at the event, I found it super easy to navigate the site and filter though the kind of looks I like. The sub-categories- lace, fit and flare, casual, evening (and more) really help cut down your browsing time and find you your dream dress in minutes. Like I said, I chose an amazing Sinequanone dress (here) but you’ll have to wait until Monday to see it on, in a special prom blog post I’ve put together!
Of course, it’s easy for me to say that I was happy with my dress, as I got to see it in person before I chose it, but Amazon have made it super easy to see how the dress fits and moves with their video option online. Just click to see the model moving around in your preferred frock to get a real feel for the shape and fit of it before you buy. It’s such a great idea and means there won’t be any (bad) surprises in terms of fit etc. when it gets delivered! Even if you need to switch sizes, returns are free! I’d definitely recommend getting on board and using this service for any special events coming up- even summer weddings/christenings- you name it! It saves you having to traipse the high street trying on a gazillion dresses. Just grab a cuppa and get browsing girls!
That’s it for today’s blog post, be sure to let me now what you think of The Dress Edit, have you bought anything from there? Or let me know if you’ve bought clothes from Amazon before! I’d love to know, leave me a comment down below or tweet me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
