Hello and welcome to today’s post, all about a recent challenge I got involved in! Last Friday I was invited to the newly opened London Designer Outlet in Wembley, to have a mooch around the outlet stores, and put together a day to night outfit, with an £100 budget. Of course it was extremely kind of the outlet to get me involved and allow me to pick out some items, and I thought I’d take you guys along with me. If you want to know more about the outlet itself, I have a whole blog post about it here, but today I’ll talk you through the experience!
I headed to the outlet in the morning, got my briefing along with the lovely Jill Wanless from Clique Magazine, Shilpa from House of Bilimoria and Bhav from Wardrobemag and went on my way to putting together an outfit for £100. The girls and I went in totally different directions style-wise for the challenge, showing you really can get an absolute bargain that’s still stylish and to your personal taste. I very predictably went for black and gold, as per usual!
The outlet isn’t full yet, and there are still a tonne of great shops to open, so despite being slightly limited we managed to find some real gems. I branched out and went into Guess and M&S which I never normally do, and checked out Daniel Footwear, another shop I’d shamefully never set foot in. One shop I do frequent on the regular is H&M, and despite this store being on the smaller side, there was a good mix of Trend, Divided and regular lines to choose from.
I started with a gorgeous shirt from Guess which was a steal at £23, then a £38.50 blazer with faux leather detailing from M&S to smarten it up. I then opted for streamlined, black skinnies on the bottom for a ridiculously cheap £5 from H&M. Finally the look was finished off with some ankle boots from Daniel which came in just under £34. Each piece is one that I’ll wear over and over in my wardrobe, making the cost-per-wear next to nothing, but together they create a great day to night outfit that I’ll be rocking a lot this festive season! Why don’t you head over there and see what gem of an outfit you can rustle up?
That’s it for today’s post, be sure to check out my vlog and haul from the outlet, to see the pieces I picked out and the venue itself in more detail. Thanks so much again to the London Designer Outlet for getting me involved and for allowing me to pick out such lovely pieces! Until next time…
