Earlier this week I brought you my metallic moodboard (here), touching on the trend and the many ways to wear it. Today though, it’s all about one specific piece- this amazing Missguided dress that instantly grabbed my attention when I spotted it on their Instagram feed. Missguided are known for their great prices and on-trend pieces, so I wasn’t surprised when I fell in love with this space age dress that nails the metallic trend, isn’t it perfect for party season?!

As you probably know, I’m obsessed with all things space age, and particularly love when futuristic fashion is affordable! The top half of this dress is stunning, with an amazing gold sequinned, structured pattern. There’s something fabulously Fifth Element about this that I love. The top half of the dress does all the talking, so the simple yet flattering skater skirt bottom is a perfect pairing. Simple accessories are the key with this, so a black clutch and heels or boots would look brilliant, and wouldn’t detract from the intergalactic looking top.

While this is on the more expensive side of Missguided’s stock at £49.99, it’s worth paying more for sequinned pieces so you can be sure they won’t shed. Investing in a sequinned number like this will see you through from now, right up til New Year’s Eve! I love that the back doesn’t have sequins, like the front, as you won’t snag the dress or the sequins while sitting, which again will add to its longevity. If you want to bag this sequinned dress before it sells out, be sure to make use of the 10% student discount plus free delivery for orders over £40.

That’s it for today’s get the look post, be sure to let me know what you think of today’s piece by leaving me a comment below and/or tweeting me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
