Monday Must-Have: Primark’s Comic Book Skirt

Hello and welcome to today’s post, I hope you’re all warm and most importantly dry inside today. It may be a dull, miserable Monday out there, but I’ve got an affordable piece today that’s bound to brighten things up. On browsing Primark’s upcoming summer collection, I spotted this super fun comic book inspired skirt, that totally works the current pop art trend to the max. Phillip Lim’s done it, Lichtenstein started it, and is currently being celebrated at the Tate for it, and now you can rock the pop art look, for less! We don’t know how much this is going to cost yet, I’m imagining something between the £8 and £12 mark, but it’s definitely one to look out for in the coming weeks in your local Primark.

It’s going to look amazing with a clashing monochrome top, to really up the fashion ante, but you can always play this down with a simple black crop top, to make it more summer-friendly. For more chilly spring days, a cute crop jumper will look great with this, choose white or black for ultimate impact, or go for a colour pop red or blue to really stand out from the crowd. One thing’s for sure- heels are a must with this one. A chunky heeled boot or JC Lita style shoe will really compliment this quirky piece, keep your eyes peeled!

Can’t wait for this instore? Topshop have a similar skirt for £28 here.

That’s it for today’s post, I hope it’ll inspire you to work some comic book magic into your wardrobe. Let me know what you think of today’s piece by leaving me a comment below or tweeting me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
