She Hearts Sunday #11

Hello and welcome to this week’s She Hearts Sunday. This week I’ve got an amazing celeb outfit to share with you that I’ve fallen in love with, plus my latest TV obsession, a Twilight themed make up tutorial and a great TK Maxx find. There’s a fair few ‘hearts’ to be getting along with, so without further ado, let’s get into it…

She Hearts…Emma Stone Off-Duty

To me, Emma Stone is a class act. She has that ability to step out looking perfectly put-together, without looking overdone. It’s a feat only fully accomplished by the likes of Olivia Palermo and Emma Watson who are seldom, if ever, seen looking anything less than perfect. I’m happy to say that Emma Stone is a part of that small group of people who just get it right, all the time. Emma’s red carpet moments are show-stopping, but her off-duty looks can be just as captivating due to their simplicity and wearability. Exhibit A is today’s picture; a fitting autumnal look sported in New York this week that can be easily interpreted by us ladies that just love Emma’s style.

She Hearts…The Book Of Skulls

I need not harp on any more about my love for skulls, it is pretty apparent in everything from my inspiration posts to my OOTDs and I’m sure for some of you it’s getting dull. However, to me it was fate when on visiting TK Maxx this week I found ‘The Book Of Skulls’ by Faye Dowling for a lowly £5.99. It’s a book I haven’t come across before, which is strange as it couldn’t possibly be more up my street. ‘The Book Of Skulls’ looks at the skull motif in popular culture and features pictures of some of the most iconic skulls of our time, such as Damien Hirst’s diamond sculpture and Alexander McQueen’s ever-popular scarves. For art and fashion lovers alike, it’s a great coffee table book that you can dip into for inspiration and it’s widely available online for around the £6 mark for those interested!

She Hearts…Tanya Burr’s ‘Bella’ Make Up Tutorial

Although I read the books and watched some of the movies, I wouldn’t say that I was obsessed with Twilight, anymore at least. The phase for me is all but over and I haven’t really bought into the hype of the last few films. However, when I saw the thumbnail for Tanya Burr’s latest tutorial in my Youtube subscription box, I thought it looked gorgeous, Twilight themed or not. The ‘Bella as a vampire’ tutorial is a pretty simple everyday look that’s great for pale girls like me, so I was instantly hooked and have been giving it a go the past few days. Tanya always creates great looks, but this is definitely one of my favourites.

She Hearts…Kirstie’s Vintage Home

I’ll admit it, I’m a sucker for home programmes in general, but when I found out this vintage home programme was hitting our TV screens, I had to give it a look. It’s pretty self-explanatory; the show aims to help homeowners who’ve lost their way find inspiration from the past to give their homes a new lease of life. The first episode saw a couple in Scotland transform their home into a ’60s haven, which for a ’60s obsessive like me was amazing. There are handy home and crafting tips integrated into the show too, and there’s an accompanying book which would make a great Christmas gift to boot. You can catch up with the last two episodes on 4OD, but just be warned this will make you want to take sandpaper to all your furniture.

That’s it for this week’s She Hearts Sunday. Let me know what you think of today’s hearts and what you’ve been loving this week by leaving me comment below or tweeting me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
