Get the Look: On-Trend Statement Necklaces at New Look

Statement necklaces never truly go out of style, but it’s fair to say that they’re currently having a fashion moment. From diamante encrusted neon pop pieces, to tribal ‘amulets’ to metallic spiked neckwear, there really is a necklace love-in going on, and you need to be a part of it. The ability of a necklace to instantly jazz up an outfit is astounding, throw on your favourite shift or jumper, add one of this season’s key statement necklaces and you’re on your way out of the door, effortlessly chic. You can justify picking up one of today’s pieces by saying it’ll save you time. Who can say no to the gift of time?

Today I’ve found three amazing necklaces on the New Look website that epitomise three different trends, so whatever trend you’re favouring right now, I’ll have something for you, and none of these gorgeous pieces are over £7.99. What’s not to love? Just click the pictures to shop the pieces!

First up is this skull necklace, and yes, as you’ve probably guessed I have a huge thing for skull embellishment right now. Just read my Missguided skull style post here, or check out my recent OOTD, ‘Skull-king Around’ here. It’s not only me though and as Alexander McQueen’s amazing skull jewellery on Net-A-Porter proves, skulls are going nowhere. This skull necklace is quirky and fun and can easily be worn over your favourite tee to toughen it up a bit, or add edge to more laidback ensembles. At £5.99 it’s not going to break the bank, but leaving this behind might just break your heart. There, I said it.

Secondly this neon wrap necklace is just the piece you need if you’d love to embrace the neon trend but are unsure how. Adding this over neutrals will keep the neon look more modern and far less eighties, so less with this necklace is definitely more. The black detail means that this will carry you through until autumn without a hitch and will still work on days when it’s not so bright. At £5.99 this is another seriously on-trend buy you can’t afford to leave behind.

Lastly is this amazing tribal-esque spiked necklace that comes in at £7.99 and which is my personal favourite of today’s three. I love the idea of throwing this over a simple shift or cosy jumper to glam it up and over a summer maxi dress this is a great one for your holiday wardrobe. I recently spotted a slightly similar necklace to this on Pinterest and absolutely fell in love, but this is an incredibly better priced piece than its £250+ counterpart, see the other necklace here. This is one I’m definitely going to be grabbing for myself to give every outfit a global traveller feel.

That’s it for today’s get the look post, let me know what pieces you’re loving at the moment by tweeting me @MillieDelacoe or commenting below. Until next time…
