Hello there guys and welcome to today’s outfit post! If you’ve seen my latest haul video already, my massive bargain of the month will be no surprise to you. If you haven’t however, then prepare for a shocker, this may be one of my biggest ‘steals’ to date. Now I rarely find that ‘sale’ and ‘Wildfox’ go in the same sentence, and I resigned myself to the fact that I was never going to own the very sweater I’m wearing in today’s outfit. That’s right, I managed to find a severely discounted dream sweater, and so of course I had to share both how god damn beautiful it is, and exactly how I found it. P.s, that haul video I talked about is right here for you!
Let’s go back to February this year, when I met up with the lovely Charlie Pallett before an event on Kings Road. There aren’t many stores on Kings Road that I feel are very me, but I do love Ad Hoc, which is the craziest, sassiest store ever, and very much a British answer to Patricia Field’s amazing New York boutique that I loved over there. Ad Hoc sell amazing pieces, including two of my favourite brands; Ragged Priest and Wildfox. In there, brand new in, I found (and Instagrammed the hell out of) a to-die-for Wildfox sweater, that being Wildfox was on the pricey side. I wanted it bad, but I resisted, and as I said, resigned myself to the fact that it would never be mine. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and the lovely guys at Think Money set me a challenge to shop the summer sales for under £50. Of course, the sweater I’d wanted so badly sprang to mind, so I immediately scoured the internet.
Never did I expect that I’d find this sweater for £34! There on Shopbop was my sweater, aptly named The Revolutionist. Even better- it was in the opposite colourway, rather than black on white, it was white on black, well, grey/black. Less than a fortnight later it was on my doorstep, all buttery soft and cosy as I knew it would be. The baggy beach jumpers in general have been on my radar ever since I started watching Youtube, and I always wanted a cute one of my own. I knew though that if I was dropping my cash on it, I’d want it to be really me, which I feel this is. My main tip is to hone in on one style you adore, and watch it like a hawk. Even when quite a lot of time has elapsed, keep it in the back of your mind, or like me, pin it onto a Pinterest wishlist, and get ready to pounce when the sales roll in! From a designer price tag at $98, to a lowly £34, you really cannot go wrong.
I guess I should tell you a little about what I wore my sweater with before I leave- my jeans are Monki Stevies, they’re super high-waisted and my absolute favourites. My boots are of course my Dr. Martens Clemency boots, my cardigan is Urban Outfitters and the tasseled bag is La Moda. I just wanted something super casual for a day out with friends in Greenwich, and I feel like this completely fit the bill. It was practical and comfortable, but I still felt like me, and I still got to rock my new favourite sweater! That’s it for today’s post, be sure to let me know what the biggest bargain is that you’ve found recently, I’d LOVE to know! There’ll be a massive autumnal haul video going up on my channel this Sunday, so definitely keep an eye out for that. Until next time…
