Storing Your Products In Style

Habitat x Birchbox

This week’s post is all in preparation for this weekend’s video- my make up collection. I’ve been asked to share my make up collection via video before, but haven’t, as I was never that happy with how I’d stored it, but now that’s all changed. A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend an event run by Habitat and Birchbox, who have teamed up, not just on a Birchbox, but designed an amazing selection of furniture to make getting ready and storing your make up all the more glamorous. The lovely guys let me leave with a stunning beauty storage box all of my own from the range, and now my make up is so much more compact and organised than it was before. You’ll be seeing my complete make up collection this weekend, but for now I thought I’d give you a sneaky peek at the event, and the Habitat x Birchbox collection itself. Without further ado, let’s get into it…

Habitat x Birchbox

The range to me is very midcentury inspired- which I love. Anything remotely Mad Men-esque for the home instantly wins my heart. The versatility of the collection is its strong suit, with those who may not have room for furniture able to pick out smaller pieces to adapt to their space. The beauty box I left with is a lowly £30, and I think that’s a snip for something that houses all your make up, clears the clutter and looks cute doing it! While there’s a massive trend in make up storage right now for the Muji-esque perspex look, I personally prefer opaque storage that hides away all your little bits and bots, so your room doesn’t look overwhelmingly cluttered. It definitely helps with my sense of calm in my room when everything’s away, other than my trinkets!

Birchbox and Habitat treated us to a gorgeous three course meal, upstairs in their Kings Road store, which was gorgeous, and is often used as an exhibition space. So, watch this space, as they have some exciting events in the works. Overall it was a great night, I met some lovely fellow bloggers, Charlie of Styled By Charlie, Paula from The London Diaries, and Hannah of Hannah Gale, who I nattered with over dinner. It was a very inspiring evening, hence why I wanted to share some photos of it, as it’ll maybe help you gather some ideas for changing up your space. It definitely made me take action, I organised and decluttered my make up collection the very next day, and now am a lot happier with it. That’s it for today’s blog post, I hope you enjoyed that little look at the collection and the evening in general. Some clips I vlogged on the night and an in-depth look at my Habitat beauty box are included in my make up collection this weekend so keep your eyes peeled for that, and I’ll see you soon. Until next time…

  1. Hey Millie! My products are all currently dumped into a sac that I dig through on a daily basis. Thanks for sharing your tips- this is much more appealing than my method!
