If there’s one piece of jewellery I’ve been dying (pun totally intended), to get my hands on at the moment, it’s Vivienne Westwood’s amazing skeleton necklace. Being a lover of all skull related paraphernalia, and the fact that I ‘flirt with goth’ a little, this skeleton necklace couldn’t be more up my street. At around £100 (depending on the retailer) for a designer necklace, Vivienne’s piece isn’t the priciest, and can certainly make an amazing Christmas gift, but if you’re not sure how much you’d wear this, how about a cheaper version?
If you want to follow in the footsteps of the awesome Chloe Grace Moretz (Hit Girl to Kick Ass fans), then the real Vivienne piece is for you! Chloe has been showing off her Vivienne necklace on Instagram and teaming it with ultra cool ensembles. I’ve put this incredible piece on my wishlist for this Christmas, but if it doesn’t turn up from Father Christmas, it’ll be Ebay all the way for me.
This £7.16 counterpart is very similar to the Vivienne necklace, but obviously the quality and craftmanship is nowhere near the same standard. That’s fine though if this’ll be an occasional piece, and you’re not expecting to rock this day in, day out. If you’re not sure about the skull ‘trend’ or whether you want to splash out on the original, this is a good way of testing the water and seeing if it really is for you, without wasting your money. Having said all that, this is still a gorgeous necklace, and for less than a tenner, it’s an absolute bargain. It’s a perfect stocking filler too, and you can pick it up from Ebay here.
That’s it for today’s designer double post. Let me know what you think of today’s find and which of the two necklaces you’d pick up. I’d love to know! Leave me a comment below or tweet me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
