Designer Double: The Kate Spade ‘Rainey’ Dress for Less

Last year the amazing Garance Dore designed a print for the incomparable Kate Spade, and of course, the world went mad. As these things do, the collection sold out almost immediately, after being spotted on fashionistas the world over, including the highly influential Lauren Conrad, whose donning of an outfit usually makes it an instant sell-out. Not to worry though. As usual, I’m here to bring you an alternative for a fraction of the price, Today it’s a designer double from Romwe. Of course, this isn’t Garance’s real print, but it’s still a step closer to the real thing if you were just dying to get your hands on it.

This gorgeous fifties style dress was a surefire sellout from the beginning. The cutesy illustrations and French theme had us all aflutter last year when this collection was launched, but of course it came with a hefty price tag. Lauren modelled the much-coveted ‘Rainey’ dress featuring Garance Dore’s illustrations and no doubt this helped make girls the world over sigh with envy!

Never fear though as have just brought out this gorgeous fitted dress, featuring a super similar pattern. Being as spring seems to have lost its way a little here in the UK, this dress style is much more appropriate for the current weather too. Coming in at £31.55 and of course with free shipping, this dress is affordable and a lot more transition-friendly than the original Kate Spade. You can wear this with black opaque tights now with your favourite coat, and come summer bare legs and your favourite sandals will look just as cute. The figure flattering, nipped in waist and 3/4 length sleeves mean this dress will be your new best friend on days you need to look fabulous, and it even has a touch of Mad Men about it. What’s not to love?

That’s it for today’s designer double post! Let me know what you think of today’s pick by leaving me a comment below or tweeting me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
