We all love it when designers collaborate with our favourite high street stores, and both the A-list and the general fashion-loving public went crazy when JW Anderson’s Topshop collection dropped lat year. Released during fashion week, the collection quickly sold out, and one of the most photographed pieces was undoubtedly the bat jumper, made famous by Alexa Chung who sported it on the FROW during the fashion extravaganza. The only thing that I don’t love about high street collaborations, is when they’re almost as expensive as the real thing, give or take. Despite it being branded a high street collaboration, at £69.99, the bat jumper was still not what I would consider ‘affordable’ for everyone. Never fear though, as you can see, online blogger favourite Sheinside has the answer with their £20 equivalent.
Here’s brit girls Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe on the FROW at fashion week, and lo and behold, Alexa is rocking her JW Anderson x Topshop bat jumper. If you were lucky enough to grab this before it notoriously sold out, it would have set you back £69.99, which even for a high street/designer collaboration is not necessarily ‘affordable’.
Enter the Sheinside offering, this slightly different take on the jumper is best for those who love the current oversized jumper trend. This would look amazing with a white shirt underneath and the collar showing through, and when teamed with a red lip can instantly be dressed up. It’ll take even the most keen fashion eye to spot this immediately as an alternative to the original, but I bet you’ll have a few asking how you managed to bag yourself a sold-out piece. For just £20, this jumper is a steal and perfect for the brisk British weather we’re having at the moment. Sheinside offers free worldwide shipping too, so grab it now, before it sells out too!
