Hello and welcome to today’s exciting post about the Harry Potter Studios Tour! I couldn’t wait to get this post up, but I just couldn’t decide from the excessive amount of pictures I took which ones should feature here. Now after a horrendous amount of scaling down the pile, I’ve finally picked out my favourites and thought I’d share them with you, along with my Gryffindor themed OOTD!
I wore the house colours of red and mustard along with some gold to really set off the outfit. I started with this simple long-sleeved tee from Dorothy Perkins and paired it with a Zara tube skirt in a bright red. I wanted my outfit to represent the house, but I still wanted to look mature, as I certainly wasn’t acting my age when I got in there! I threw over my vintage blazer-style coat so as not to detract from the colours and also put on a pair of dotty opaques from Primark for a bit more whimsy and youthfulness.
To add a magical touch I added these new H&M star necklaces that are available instore now and come in a pack of two for £4.99.
Finally came my new Forever 21 boots which I picked up in the sale for £12.99. They’re super comfy and practical but still stylish, I love them!
My best friend and I painted our nails according to the house we believe we should be in. My nails on the right are painted with Rimmel’s Red Carpet and Models Own Gold Rush to fit the Gryffindor theme and Hannah went with Ravenclaw. And yes, if you were wondering that is Butterbeer we’re holding!
I just had to show you Hannah’s tee that she wore on the day, this amazing varsity style Hogwarts Alumni tee that is available here at sundogshirts.com, they have tonnes of other great Harry Potter themed tees too.
On with the tour! I can’t recommend it highly enough as for £28 which is the ticket price we paid, you can’t beat the day out for value for money. For Harry Potter fans it is an absolute must, but even just for avid film fans, there’s great behind the scenes info that is not just Harry Potter specific. The tour is in Leavesden only twenty minutes outside of Central London and takes around four and a half hours to get around, that’s how long it took us anyway! There’s so much to see and do and of course I couldn’t fit all 300 of my photos in this post, but I strongly urge you to go and check it out for yourself, it is literally the most magical day!
