Get the Look: Phillip Lim style comic jumpers at Primark!

Of late, Phillip Lim has had geeks and fashion lovers a-like everywhere pining after his much-coveted comic book inspired jumpers. Arguably the most famous, the ‘Ka-Pow’ jumper, was recently worn by Dr. Who star Karen Gillan at Comic-Con, which is the ultimate in dressing for the occasion! Although, like many of you, I have this incredible piece on my wishlist, the chance of it actually gracing my wardrobe is slim to none. However, as usual, I’m here to show you just how you can get the Phillip Lim look, for less, right here on the British high street.

On a recent trip to good old faithful Primark, I came across these great Lim-a-likes that really nail the comic jumper trend head on, and won’t break the bank. This £14 knitted jumper in black is a gorgeous piece for the coming season and the huge ‘Pow’ graphic keeps it fun and Phillip Lim-esque. Worn over black skinnies or a short skirt a la Karen Gillan this jumper will really make a statement, while keeping you snug.

The second jumper, which is more of a jersey material, features more traditional comic book colours and instead of a ‘pow’, this time it’s a ‘boom’. This is the perfect lazy day jumper and is light enough that you can start wearing it now and it’ll see you through to spring. I’d pair this with a cute skirt and shoe boots to keep the look feminine against the more masculine graphic. What’s better? This one’s only £10 too!

I love these 3.1 Phillip Lim inspired jumpers, but which one do you love more? I’d love to know which you’d pick and how you’d style it, so leave me a comment below or tweet me @MillieDelacoe. Until next time…
