Welcome to Sunday everyone, I hope you’ve had a lovely week. This week there’s been a multitude of great videos popping up in my subscription box and I can’t wait to share them with you all. Whereas usually on a weekly basis I tend to come across about three videos that I think are worth featuring, this week I had to whittle it down to five, as there were so many things I was loving on Youtube! Get the kettle on, get comfy and settle in for this week’s five videos that have been grabbing my attention. I hope you enjoy them.
First up it’s probably my absolute favourite video of the week, and it’s from a huge Youtuber who you’ll probably have already heard of, Ingrid of Miss Glamorazzi. I love Ingrid’s videos and follow her vlog channel, The Grid Monster, as well as her beauty channel where she posts videos of her day to day life and exciting things that happen along the way. Recently Ingrid took a trip to IMATS in NYC with some other Youtubers that I love, Fleur of Fleur De Force, Allison of Amarixe, Nikki of Nikki Phillippi, Tanya of Pixi2woo and Jim of J1mmy B0bba, all who I am subscribed to and adore (they all have vlog channels too). Of course I was loving watching all my favourite Youtubers all on one trip together, like some strange reality show I guess, and each one of them vlogged throughout the trip. While I loved everyone’s vlogs, Ingrid decided to hold back on the vlogs and make one gorgeous stylised video all about New York City, capturing the ‘vibe’ and beauty of the place.
Being as I’m already desperate to go to New York this has only fuelled my enthusiasm and I think this video is super cute. Check out the beginning sequence with the girls all crossing the road, how Sex and the City can it possibly be? If you’re not subscribed to these guys I’d definitely recommend it and if you click their usernames above it’ll take you to their respective Youtube pages.
Next up it’s another video that the guys posted from New York and it’s a lovely video from Nikki Phillippi that documents their girly ‘getting ready’ sessions. Being as I love all the girls’ beauty channels I loved this little insight into their beauty/make up regimes and thought it was a really cute way of giving us a sneak peek into their travel make up kits. Enjoy and don’t forget to subscribe if you like the video!
Next up it’s a great tutorial from Tanya of Pixi2woo and it’s for Beyonce’s amazing make up in her music video Countdown. I adore this music video and even posted a blog about it when it first came out (click here to read that) and love that Tanya makes the make up so easy to replicate. While it’s not the most daytime look, it’s great for a night out and if Beyonce’s been rocking it, what’s not to love?
Today’s penultimate video is one I’m really excited about and it’s a tutorial from Wayne at Gossmakeupartist showing you how to replicate Lily Collins’ ‘Mirror Mirror’ make up. As you know, I’m loving Lily Collins at the moment, and have an extra special Lily inspired post prepared for next week, so you can imagine how much I was loving this when it hit my subscription box. I love tutorials that are done by real make up artists as they know the tricks of the trade and can hazard a good guess at what products were really used to create a make up look in the first place. Check out this gorgeous make up look, and don’t forget to favourite, share or subscribe if you love the video.
Lastly today it’s all about music, and my boyfriend and I came across this song the other day and cannot stop listening to it. It’s Madeon’s Pop Culture, which isn’t new but which is incredible all the same. I’m big into electronica and this mash up of loads of famous songs is really well done, as a massive Daft Punk fan I loved hearing loads of their songs mixed in. The video I’m posting is a live mashup version of the song and it is amazing. Enjoy!
That’s it for today’s Videos of the Week, I hope you enjoyed it. Let me know what videos you were loving this week by commenting below or tweeting me @MillieDelacoe.
